Introduction
What are we talking about?
Listing TengTeX's requirements I mentioned four (three, actually)
tengwar fonts. It's perhaps useful to repeat them here
(repetita juvant, said the Latins):
- Julian C. Bradfield's teng10
- Mike Urban's tengwar
- Ivan A. Derzhanski's Computer Modern Tengwar and Computer Roman Tengwar families (included in TengTeX's distributions since number 1.10).
In the following pages I would like to politely comment on each of them for the benefit of new users, highlighting some points without implying any blame on anyone's generously shared work. Just from here you could guess that I do not like them unconditionally, but that is no one's fault. Diversity of taste is a richness and we are lucky enough to have these three different fonts.
